Q: Can I revise the original useful life of an asset?

A:

Yes, D-BIT Fixed Assets useful life function is date sensitive and therefore allows you to advise a new useful life for an assets at the start of each financial year.

Q: Can I split an asset into a number of assets?

A:

Yes, D-BIT Fixed Assets has a facility to split an asset into two assets or into individual assets based on the number of units originally specified.

Q: Can I merge a number of assets into one asset without losing the history?

A:

Yes, D-BIT Fixed Assets allows you to merge any number of assets together and will keep the original assets ‘frozen’ as at the date of merging.

Q: Does D-BIT Fixed Assets have a scanning/barcode option?

A:

Yes, D-BIT Fixed Assets have a scanning/barcode module called D-BIT Asset Mobile.

Q: Can I re-number an asset once it has been added to the system?

A:

Yes, You can re-number an individual asset or a group of assets or your entire register.

Q: Can I print a report that will show all acquisitions and disposals?

A:

Yes, D-BIT has a variety of standard reports available and allows you to create your own custom reports.

Q: Can I have multiple registers?

A:

Yes, depending on the version and level of  D-BIT Fixed Assets that you have installed.

Q: Can D-BIT Fixed Assets run on Microsoft SQL?

A:

Yes, D-BIT Fixed Assets is available for PervasiveSQL and MicrosoftSQL.

D-BIT Fixed Assets for PervasiveSQL will not be sold after 30 August 2013.  Support for this version will continue for a period of 18 months.

Q: Can I change the depreciation rate/rule of a group of assets ?

A:

Yes you can change the depreciation rate/rule of a group of assets either via the Value Tab on each asset or via an import facility.

Q: Can I create my own reports ?

A:

Yes, D-BIT offers various tools that allows you to create your own reports to print to PDF, to email as an attachment, to export to XLS etc ..
